Kevin Ross reveals how Maxwell’s advice led to his success

“He told me to never do a song that I wouldn’t do 20 years from now,” Ross tells “There will never be another Stevie Wonder ever. The youth needs to hear something else too. “I don’t listen to comparisons,” he says. If there are hundreds of artists doing the same thing then why can’t I be a little left of center?”

Buckcherry added to Rock Into Spring festival

The lineup also includes Art of Anarchy, Sick Puppies, Trapt, DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit, Alien Ant Farm and many more. Buckcherry released their sixth studio album, Rock ‘n’ Roll, in August 2015. It includes the singles “Bring It On Back” and “The Feeling Never Dies,” the latter of which features country singer Gretchen Wilson. 
  The event takes place April 28–30 at the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas.

Miike Snow returns for US shows

Did Gorillaz just release an early look at their new album?

Gorillaz released a new track called “Hallelujah Money” on January 20 to coincide with the inauguration of U.S. According to Consequence of Sound, the 26 titles (including a half-dozen “interludes”) were registered with UK-based music licensing company Phonographic Performance Ltd. ParlophoneGorillaz, the genre-hopping pop/rap collective led by Blur frontman Damon Albarn, has revealed what appear to be the song titles for their next album. The tracks include guest appearances from Grace Jones, De La Soul, Savages frontwoman Jehnny beth, gospel legend Mavis Staples, Pusha T, Danny Brown, Kelela and others. President Donald Trump.

Rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry, dead at 90

Weezer drops new single, announces European tour dates

Gregg Allman calls off all tour dates for 2017

Joel Fried/Getty Images (NEW YORK) — Gregg Allman has canceled all his tour dates for 2017. A note posted to Allman’s website on Monday reads: “It has been determined that Gregg will not be touring in 2017.  For those of you who purchased tickets for shows in June, contact the ticket outlet from where you purchased the tickets for a refund.”
No further details were provided. In November, 69-year-old Allman canceled all his concerts for the early part of 2017 citing a vocal injury.  He also canceled a series of concerts in 2016, the result, he later revealed, of pneumonia.  He had been scheduled to get back on the road this June to support his upcoming album Southern Blood.

George Michael died of natural causes, says coroner

The singer, who was found dead Christmas Day of last year at age 53, “died of natural causes — dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver,” according to Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, England. When Michael was initially discovered, officials said they didn’t know the precise cause of death, but that it wasn’t suspicious.  Cardiomyopathy is essentially weakened heart muscle, with dilated being its most common form, according to WebMD.  Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle. ‘The Voice’ Recap: Lovers Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton go at it as the battle rounds continue

Blake may not end up sleeping on the couch tonight, but Gwen landed Savannah on her team. Last up was, Lilie Passero a singer/actress from Studio City, California inspired by R&B greats like Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin, and who currently waits tables for a living. Adam couldn’t understand why no one else turned their chairs around for Jesse and boasted, “When you win and it’s one chair…no one will ever not listen to me ever again.  Larson joined Adam’s team. Aliyah Moulden performs on “The Voice”; Tyler Golden/NBCWeek one of the new season of The Voice continued Tuesday night, with more hopefuls participating in the blind auditions. Adam declared that Autumn had a “grace and soul” rarely seen on The Voice, adding that she could “win this show.” Gwen told the young hopeful that she could help her live her dream because she’s already lived it herself. Blake praised the singer for her “classic style,” and Gwen added that it was “theatrical.” However Alicia won the day with her improvised song begging Lillie to join her team. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and returning coach Gwen Stefani were back in their rotating chairs, looking to add new members to their respective teams, and leading to the first epic battle between lovers Gwen and Blake. Gwen reminded the teen that she started out young girl, too, and could offer her guidance the others couldn’t. Her version of “A Love of My Own,” by Carla Thomas, got Blake, Gwen and Alicia to turn their chairs. He also revealed Prince once asked him to play guitar and sing background vocals for season four The Voice contestant Judith Hill, who worked with Prince after her time on show. Moulden ended up joining team Blake. Her version of Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally” got Blake and Gwen to turn their chairs around, leading to a battle royale between the two lovebirds. Aliyah got Blake, Alicia and Gwen to hit their buttons with her version of Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog.” Blake touted his experience coaching young singers to victory, including Danielle Bradbery and Cassidee Pope. She earned the honor of opening for heartthrob Jesse McCartney, but also lost her father to cancer when she was just a month old. Savannah Leighton, 16, who watched her family fall apart after her father left her mother, uses music as an escape. Singer/guitarist Jesse Larson convinced Adam to turn around with his soulful take on “Jealous Guy by John Lennon — played on a guitar he built himself. Alicia noted Turner was “probably good at everything.” Autumn picked Keys’ team. In fact, she counts Gwen and Blake among her customers. Aliyah Moulden, a 15-year-old with a powerhouse voice, has experienced the highest highs and lowest lows during her young life. Here are the highlights from Tuesday night’s episode:
Montclair, New Jersey native Autumn Turner a figure skating teacher who found music during high school, opened the show with her version of Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” She immediately got Adam to turn his chair, later followed by Gwen, Alicia and Blake. The Voice returns with more auditions Thursday night on NBC. Blake got the battle rolling by declaring that he was “willing to get myself in bad trouble because I believe in you.” Gwen then made her case, noting that she could “mother” Savannah, adding, that she couldn’t understand why the girl wouldn’t want to go with the girl.
