Calum Scott – You Are The Reason (Lyric Video)

There goes my heart beating
‘Cause you are the reason
I’m losing my sleep
Please come back now
There goes my mind racing
And you are the reason
That I’m still breathing
I’m hopeless now
I’d climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I’ve broken
Oh, ’cause I need you to see
That you are the reason
There goes my hands shaking
And you are the reason
My heart keeps bleeding
I need you now
If I could turn back the clock
I’d make sure the light defeated the dark
I’d spend every hour, of every day
Keeping you safe
And I’d climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I’ve broken
Oh, ’cause I need you to see
That you are the reason
You are the reason
I’m a little sad
Just a little sad
I’m a little sad
I need you to hold me tonight
I’d climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I’ve broken
‘Cause I need you to see
That you are the reason

Joyner Lucas – I’m Not Racist

I’m sorry you can never feel my life
Tryna have faith, but I never felt alright
It’s hard to elevate when this country’s ran by whites
Judging me by my skincolor and my blackness
Tryna find a job but ain’t nobody call me back yet
Now I gotta sell drugs to put food in my cabinet
You crackers ain’t slick, this is all a part of your tactics
Don’t talk about no motherfucking taxes, when I ain’t making no dough
You think you know everything, but you don’t
You wanna copy our slang and everything that we know
Tryna steal black culture and then make it your own, whoa
Fuck, I’m exhausted, I can’t even drive without the cops tryna start shit
I’m tired of the systematic racism bullshit
All you do is false shit, this the shit that I’m falsed with
And you don’t know shit about my people, that’s what bothers you
You ain’t know about no fried chicken and no barbeque
You ain’t know about the two-step, or no loose change
You ain’t know about no 2Chainz or no kool-aid, you don’t know! So you can keep livin’ off free government assistance? You gon’ show us some respect, you gon’ stand for this country, nigg-er! Put that suit back on! And even though Barack was half as black, you hated president Obama, I know that’s a fact
You couldn’t wait to get him out, and put a cracker back
And then you gave us Donald Trump, and now it’s pay back for that
I’m not racist, I never lied, but I know there’s a disconnect between your culture and mine
Yeah, I praise 2Pac like he was a fuckin’ god; he was fighting for his life right before he fuckin’ died, nigga die, nigga! And all you care about is rappin’ and stuntin’ and bein ratchet, and that’s the nigga within you
Music rotting your brain and slowly start to convince you, then you let your kids listen and then the cycle continues
Blame it all on the menu, blame it on those drinks, blame it on everybody except for your own race
Blame it on white privileges, blame it on white kids, and just blame it on white citizens—same with the vice president
Bunch of class clowns
Niggas kneelin’ on the field, that’s a flag down
How dare you try to make demands for this money? You can’t escape problems
You can pray for some change but can’t break a dollar
Got nobody else to blame, so you blame Donald
"They fuck the world with a Make America Great condom"
My voice been back
I’m not racist, my sister’s boyfriend’s black
I’m not racist, my sister-in-law’s baby cousin Tracy got a brother and his girlfriend’s black
My head’s in the cloud
Heard there’s not enough jobs for all the men in your house
Maybe we should build a wall to keep the Mexicans out
Or maybe we should send ’em all to the ghetto for now; I’m not racist
And I never lie, but I think there’s a disconnect between your culture and mine
I worship the Einsteins, study the Steve Jobs, but you ride 2Pac’s dick like he was a fuckin’ god, oh my god! I’m not racist, I’m just prepared for this type of war
I heard Eminem’s rap at the awards, who’s he fightin’ for? Food stamps for your children, but you’re still tryna sell ’em for some weed and some liquor or a fuckin’ babysitter
While you party on the road ’cause you ain’t got no fuckin’ goals
You already late; you motherfuckas needa get your damn priorities straight, way
It’s like you’re proud to be fake
But you lazy as fuck and you’d rather sell drugs than get a job and be straight
And then you turn around and complain about the poverty rate? I’m not racist, it’s like we livin’ in the same buildin’ but split into two floors
I’m not racist, but there’s two sides to every story—I wish that I knew yours
I wish that I knew yours
I’m not racist, I swear

[Verse 2]
With all disrespect, I don’t really like you white motherfuckers, that’s just where I’m at
Screaming "All Lives Matter" is a protest to my protest, what kind of shit is that? Yo, what the fuck!? Take that gold out your mouth! Take that do-rag off! Y’all can take that motherfucker too, he ain’t white no more
It’s like you wanna be so famous, you’ll do anything for attention and a little payment
I can’t take you nowhere without people pointin’ fingers
Pants hangin’ off your ass, you ain’t got no home-trainin’
Put your fuckin’ pants up, nigga! Quit the pitiful stuff and then maybe police would stop killin’ ya, fuck! Fuck outta my face! [Verse 1]
With all due respect, I don’t have pity for you black niggas, that’s the way I feel
Screamin’ "Black Lives Matter," all the black guys rather be deadbeats than pay your bills
Yellin’ "Nigga, this" and "Nigga, that"
Call everybody "Nigga" and get a nigga mad
As soon as I say "Nigga," then everyone react
And wanna swing at me and call me racist ’cause I ain’t black
Well pound that then, talkin’ about slavery like you was around back then
Like you was pickin’ cotton off the fuckin’ ground back then
Like you was on the plantation gettin’ down back then
Aight, look
I see a black man aimin’ his gun
But I’d rather see a black man claimin’ his son
And I don’t mean just for one day and you done, I mean
You still trapped in a rut
I work my ass off and I pay my taxes for what? And all you care about is money and power and being ugly and that’s the cracker within you
Hatred all in your brain, it slowly start to convince you
And then you teach it to your children until the cycle continue
Blame it on Puerto Rico, blame it on O.J
Blame it on everybody except for your own race
Blame it on black niggas and blame it on black citizens
Aim at the black businesses, I ain’t saying I’m innocent, but
I might be any day now, treatin’ everybody how you want and any way how
I swear North Korea bout to bomb us any day now
And now I’m duckin’ everytime I hear a fuckin’ plane now, shit
You know I make a lot of sense, but you just can’t admit it
When Eminem went against Trump, that was the illest
Cause even though he’s white he let us know he standin’ with us
I’m not racist, but I cry a lot
You don’t know what it’s like to be in a frying pot
You don’t know what it’s like to mind your business
And get stopped by the cops and not know if you bout to die or not
You worry bout your life, so you take mine
I love you, but I fuckin’ hate you at the same time
I wish we could trade shoes or we could change lives
So we could understand each other more, but that’d take time
I’m not racist, it’s like we livin’ in the same buildin’, but splittin’ the both sides
I’m not racist, but there’s two sides to every story and now you know mine

Can’t erase the scars with a bandage
I’m hoping maybe we can come to an understanding
Agreed or disagreed, we could have an understanding
I’m not racist And that’s one war you’ll never win
The power in the word "Nigga" is a different sin
We shouldn’t say it but we do, and that shit’s what it is
But that don’t mean that you can say it just ’cause you got nigga friends
Nigga, that word was originated for you to keep us under
And when we use it we know that’s just how we greet each other
And when you use it we know there’s a double meaning under
And even if I wasn’t picking cotton physically
That don’t mean I’m not affected by the history
My grandmomma was a slave, that shit gets to me
And you ain’t got no motherfucking sympathy, you pussy nigga!

Daniel Caesar – Freudian

You are the reason
The reason I sing
I have to preserve you
Cause you’re my everything
Babe I know I fucked up
Focus on them B cups
‘Cause you got your friends too
Better believe in it
Truth I’m up on my luck
Can’t stop running amok
But you got your friends too
I just want to thank you for saving my life, yes
I just want to thank you for all your advice
You are the reason, the reason I’m alive
I must bring you honour
If I don’t, I’d die
I know I brought shame
Put a mock on your name
But you got your thanks too, better believe it I
Rising up from the flame
The phoenix that I became
But you got your thanks too
I just want to thank you for giving me life yes
I just want to thank you for all your advice
Send me kisses when it’s grey skies
It’s been so long look how time flies
If you love me won’t you let me know
I’ve been trying to learn let you go
Call my name whenever tears fall
When you face your fears you stand tall
Send me kisses when it’s grey skies
It’s been so long look how time flies
If you love me won’t you let me know
I’ve been trying to learn let you go
Call my name whenever tears fall
When you face your fears you stand tall
Know I’d take a bullet for you
No you don’t know what I go through
And I know you think you’re kinda nice
Do you remember when I saved your life
Don’t come at me on some weak shit
It’s time you stopped displaying weakness, oh, oh
Hey momma
It’s your second son the same I ain’t changed momma
I made some change
Times have changed on me
Times have changed (minds have changed)
My mind feel strange momma but I feel the same
I feel ashamed when I’m face to face with my faith
Face to face with my faith momma, I lost my faith
Isn’t it nice
Human sacrifice
The universe got it
I got too excited
And now we’re taking life
Isn’t it nice
Human sacrifice
I hate consequences, that shit is too expensive
You keep chasing delight
Isn’t it nice
Human sacrifice
I take the easy way out every time
I don’t deserve my own life
Isn’t it nice
Human sacrifice oh yes
Say I’m a martyr
Charge that to my ego
I just want all the lights

JANE ZHANG – Work For It lyrics

Shock my body
Light up the fire
Can you ignite it
Turn up the flame on it
Get it started
Pull me in close
I want you on me
Show me why you want it
[Pre-Chorus]
Walk up to my session and
You know I’m turning heads
Got your eyes all on me but
You too proud to beg
You keep throwing signs
But I’m not a psychic
If you really want it
Better get it if you can
[Chorus]
You keep sending me signals
It’s like that subliminal
My body’s talking
Without words
I know you feel it too
Elephant in the room
The energy’s coming through
But imma make you work for it
But imma make you work for it
But imma make you work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa but imma make it work for it
[Verse 2]
Temperature’s rising
I feel the heat
Somebody hit the siren
Turn up the flame on it
Get it started
You’re all I need
I want you on me
Show me why you want it
[Pre-Chorus]
Walk up to my session and
You know I’m turning heads
Got your eyes all on me but
You too proud to beg
You keep throwing signs
But I’m not a psychic
If you really want it
Better get it if you can
[Chorus]
You keep sending me signals
It’s like that subliminal
My body’s talking
Without words
I know you feel it too
Elephant in the room
The energy’s coming through
But imma make you work for it
But imma make you work for it
But imma make you work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa work for it
Aaa but imma make it work for it

And it ain’t nobody but my own
Missing you on my body

I’ll be good if you let me
(Oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh)

Don’t leave me lonely
911, I’m on fire
[Chorus]
Smoking nirvana, ring the la la la la
Smoking nirvana, come on ring the la la la la
Started a flame inside my heart
Baby don’t ever put it out
Smoking nirvana, come on ring the la la la la

Grab my hand if you feel it

Smoking nirvana, come on ring the la la la la
Started a flame inside my heart
Baby don’t ever put it out
Smoking nirvana, come on ring the la la la la

Meek Mill Debut New Romantic Video “Fall Thru”

Despite the prison term, Meek is remaining positive, his representatives said. Meek Mill is celebrating his legal victory with a new music video for “Fall Thru.”
The Maybach Music Group rapper received some good news yesterday when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Judge Genece Brinkley should make a ruling on his bail application. The video starts out with Meek Mill calling up his girl and telling her to “Fall Thru” when she is done working. Comment on the video below. Earlier this year he was arrested in New York City for popping a wheelie in the street and that formed part of his now legal troubles involving probation violation that he is serving 2-4 years in prison for. Some fans thinks that he is rapping about his now ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj. Just this week, Civil Rights Activist Reverend Al Sharpton and rap legend JAY-Z spoke out about the unjust system of mass incarceration of young African American males. Meek Mill is currently fighting for his freedom midst a shocking 4 years prison sentence for probation violation. At the end of the video #Justice4Meek came onto the screen. “I was locked up, I remember when I hit you / Used to write me back every letter that I sent you / You wasn’t my girl but you used to pretend to / When I came home, let me beat it instrumental / Lame left you scarred so I had to reinvent you,” Meek raps. The MC then take us on a trip down memory lane from when he and his ride or die chick just met. The judge in his probation case, Genece Brinkley, has been under heavy criticisms from all quarters of the country since handing down the sentencing earlier this month. There is also a scene where Meek Mill popped a wheelie before pulling up to see his girl.

Alkaline them a batty boy them so don’t ramp with me, me will kick one of unnu in unnu face to. Popcaan and Alka have been at war since last year and earlier this year the MVP deejay released a scathing diss track for Popcaan, “Microwave.” The Vendetta head has not responded to the “Unruly Rave” deejay’s statement on IG Live. “Alkaline a batty boy bout big up Alkaline wha happen to you pu**y. #popcaan going in on #alkaline on Instagram live???? Popcaan went HAM on Alkaline on Instagram Live last night. Popcaan lost it after reading that question and resorted to blasting the fan as well as his dancehall nemesis. “Mi no beg bumbocl**t friend from no boy or gal inno,” Popcaan yelled.

Chronixx, Damian Marley & Morgan Heritage Gets Grammy Nomination

They are competing with some other big names in categories like Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. “When your peers consider your music top of the class, it’s just humbling. These are blessings and we’re grateful to Jah for giving us the guidance, health, strength and perseverance to keep spreading this message of peace, love, equality and justice for all mankind. The other two nominees for Best Reggae Album are Wash House Ting by J Boog, and Lost In Paradise by Common Kings. Chronixx, Damian Marley, and Morgan Heritage are the only three Jamaicans among the nominees for Best Reggae Album. “When our music is celebrated by our fans, that is the greatest satisfaction an artist can ask for,” Morgan Heritage said in a statement on Instagram. The Recording Academy released the list of nominees for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards yesterday and JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with eight and seven nominations respectively. Chronixx debut album Chronology is widely regarded as one of the best reggae albums released this year. Bless up the @RecordingAcademy @grammypro for recognizing #Avrakedabra!”
This is the first Grammy nomination for Chronixx who is currently one of roots reggae’s most talented artists on the scene right now. Morgan Heritage also released a very good album, Avrakedabra, and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley’s new LP Stony Hill is also well received. The reggae category doesn’t usually get much publicity overseas but in Jamaica, it’s a big deal and this year we have three local acts vying for the Reggae Grammy.

The Game Drops Freestyle “I turned 38 and I’m still rapping still”

The Compton rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, posted three clips on his Instagram today showing a bottle of Hennessy beside a candle and himself in the background rapping a cappella. In the first clip, he started out by taking a jab at JAY-Z who famously responded to him in his song “The Prelude.” “I used to think rapping at 38 was eww / Until I turned 38 and I’m still rapping still,” Game raps. The West Coast rapper named a bunch of other rappers who he listens to including JAY, Snoop Dogg, J. He then went into a past controversial topic where he named a number of famous women that he has had intimate relationships with. “I smashed everything except Nicki, Bey, and Rihanna,” he raps after hinting that he didn’t want to embarrass Kanye West by naming Kim Kardashian on the list of women he smashed. “F*** jail I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy,” he raps. “What DJ gonna turn down the thirty-eight snub? “Chill slow movement these days / Everybody wonna ball am cool with it these days / Yeah just happy a ni**a made it / If me and a ni**a meet I ain’t even wonna say it / But this morning am off Hennessy ni**a,” he continues. The Game also took a jab at Meek Mill being in prison and we all know about the deep rooted hatred between the two rappers. “I used to think rapping at 38 was ill / When last year alone I grossed about 38 mill / I know I ain’t quite 38 but still / The flow so Special got a .38 feel / The real is back,” JAY-Z raps in “The Prelude.” Hip Hop fans things that it was a response to The Game’s line in the classic single “It’s Okay (One Blood)” featuring Junior Reid where he took a shot at Hov. Sean Kingston Feeds Homeless In Kingston For Thanksgiving

I do it every year because Mama Kingston loves to give back.”
Sean Kingston is currently touring the US and Canada for his Made in Jamaica tour which supports his latest mixtape Made In Jamaica, released earlier this year. “Knowing that Jamaica doesn’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s something new,” Kingston said. Sean Kingston is now living in Jamaica but he is still celebrating some American holidays and for Thanksgiving last week Thursday, the “Beautiful Girl” singer and his mother took to the streets of Kingston to dish out some hot meals to the homeless in Jamaica’s capital. Sean Kingston says that he will be spending the holiday at his newly purchased home in Jamaica with his family. The singer’s mother Janice ‘Mama Kingston’ Turner said she spent all day cooking up some classic Jamaican dishes like curry chicken, oxtail, jerk chicken and more. Mama Kingston said she has been doing this for the past decade in Florida and California. “We did Florida for four years, California for six years and now, for the first time, Jamaica,” Janice said. “I always give back in the States, and I feel like bringing it back to my home, my culture, my country is something dope. Sean Kingston is getting a lot of praise for feeding homeless people in Kingston on Thanksgiving day. Last year I did it with Soulja Boy and Tyga. “We brought 500 plates and they ran out, and I had to get more,” she said.

Damian Marley Wins Best Reggae Act MOBO Award

Gong beat out stiff competition from the likes of Chronixx, Popcaan, Alkaline, and Aidonia, who have all had a great year in reggae/dancehall. A day after getting a Grammy nomination for his new album Stony Hill for Best Reggae Album, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley picked up another prestigious award at Wednesday night’s awards show for Music of Black Origin in the UK. The project has been well received and even made Rolling Stone’s list of 50 Best Albums of 2017. Those three acts are responsible for a large portion of the biggest dancehall songs this year. Some fans on social media are saying that Chronixx deserves to win both the MOBO and the upcoming Grammy Awards for the reggae category. Damian Marley picked up the 2017 MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. This is Damian Marley’s second MOBO Award after winning another MOBO in 2005. Hardcore dancehall acts, Popcaan, Aidonia, and Alkaline have all had a great year despite not releasing albums this year. The roots reggae star released his critically-acclaimed debut album Chronology in July of this year.

The song gave Cardi B a mega year in hip hop giving her a taste of mainstream success after dropping a few mixtapes. Meek Mill & JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Sued By Family Of Slain Concertgoer

He also denied having any involvement in the shooting incident and argued that the claims made against him in the lawsuit is filled with racist undertones and stereotypes. The suite claims that Meek and RN “allowed thugs to remain on the premises, after exhibiting disorderly, disruptive, argumentative, angry and/or agitated behavior toward patrons.”
Turns out that this is the second lawsuit that Meek Mill is facing from the shooting incident because a second person also died. Meek Mill has more legal troubles on his hand after the family of a man who was slain at one of his concerts filed a lawsuit against him and Roc Nation. The incarcerated rapper is currently fighting for his freedom after being sent to prison for 2-4 years for probation violation.
