“I died but woke up on my way to mortuary” — Comedian Julius Agwu narrates how his dead father chased him back to life after he died

It is very important to sleep. I thank God that ‘Crack Ya Rib’ paved the way for other shows,” said Agwu. I would not lie to you, things are not easy in the country and many people are running away from Nigeria. They were taking me to a mortuary but to God be the glory, my hand moved and that was the point they returned me to the hospital. My good friend, Okey Bakassi, told me that the illness was a spiritual attack and pleaded with me not to try it again. I died and woke up; I literally died and woke up. Like a Nollywood movie, the comedian said that while he was unconscious, he had an encounter with some people he knew had died and he would have remained dead if his father who had died 12 years ago did not chase him back to the land of the living.

He said,
“The truth is that I would not have been alive if not for God. The encounter made me realize that there is nothing as good as rest. We live in a country where people test your power when you announce that you want to contest for an office. They removed a tumour at the back of my head which was the size of a golf ball and the other tumour was close to my brain. ‘Crack Ya Rib’ was the first Nigerian show that went to London and after that, everybody started taking their shows there. I just kept on laughing,” he said. “The truth is that I am back and better. I work so hard and I believe that of all comedians in Nigeria, I am the only one with so many brands, I have Crack Ya Ribs, Laff for Christ’s Sake and Festival of Love.”
Speaking for the first time since his second visit to the hospital over the tumours in his brain, Agwu told Saturday Beats that he had a relapse because he did not rest properly after his first surgery.
“What happened was that they did an MRI scan and they detected that I had two growths. They gave me drugs to shrink the tumour but I did not rest well and that is why it came back last year. He said that there was a time he also thought of contesting for a political office but that something happened to him which he said he would never forget. God would keep on blessing my wife; I believe that God gave me my wife and I always thank him for her. I died here in Nigeria but woke up when they were taking me to the mortuary. I just want to use this opportunity to tell the people that God is great and this is a time we should all reflect on our life. I did not rest at all, after my surgery in America, I resumed doing my shows. I bless God that she stayed despite everything that happened to me. During the interview, the humour merchant noted that he had died but woke up when he was being conveyed to the mortuary. Here I am today. Remember there was a time I made it public that I wanted to contest as a governor for my state, now, people have advised me not to try it again because they believe that my illness was a spiritual attack. They advised me that if they touched the other tumour, it could be fatal. That was the first time I had a seizure in my house but my wife stood by me. I saw my father who died about 12 years ago; he was the one that came and chased me back to the world because it was not my time. “We live in a country where people are funny. I say that authoritatively because I know that I had an encounter with people that I know had died during that period. Being the humour peddler that he is, the funnyman said that some people including his dear friend and colleague, Okey Bakassi, believe that his illness was a spiritual attack simply because he once showed interest to contest as the governor of Rivers State.
Veteran Nigerian Comedian, Julius Agwu, has spoken about how he’d have been dead by now during an interview with Saturday Beats, but all glory be to God. I thank God for everything.

I have seen videos and heard audios of some people and prophets after the death of my girl Ebony.can people have a little heart and stop judging her.kaywa saw this long time and did a lot of directions and prayers for us.i have chats with prophets who also saw this coming.we did what we could but God knows best! Subsequently, an old message was dug out where a Ghanaian prophet, Pastor Ageyi Agyeman Fredua prophesied about her forthcoming doom last year which has led most people to attack the prophet after his prophecy came to pass this month.
Yesterday, stories of the sudden death of popular Ghanaian singer, Ebony Reigns, who died in a ghastly motor accident while returning from visiting her mother were widely reported across the internet. He also asked people to stop judging her. He revealed that Ebony had received several prophecies about her impending death and was desperately doing everything in her power to turn things around for her future, all to no avail.

Kodak Black – I Be On The Way Lyrics

[Chorus: Khalid]
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be all night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be all night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day
[Verse 1: Kodak Black]
Aye I’m booted up out my mup
I’m on my way, I burned the clutch though
I got a lot to tell ya but right now I just wanna fuck though
I love you from the bottom of my heart but bae I’m cutthroat
That pussy good but tonight I wanna stick it in yo’ butt though
I say what I want when I wanna say it, I’m blunt baby
I mixed the KK with the cookie, stuffed it in my blunt
In the cell with a razor blade in my mat
I don’t shave but I hid the razor in my bunk
Pull up and I don’t honk
Hop out then I dump
My steering wheel on the right, it’s enough room in the trunk
I ain’t gon’ bump the horn or hit the horn when I pull up in yo’ front
Hit it on the porch or in the Porsche, kick it then I punt
[Chorus: Khalid]
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be all night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be your night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day
[Verse 2: Kodak Black]
Beep, we in a pink Jeep Rubicon
Nothin’ cheap, free, rockin’ Gucci with the Louis Vuitton
Uh
And my son name King Khalid
Bag a nigga ass and do the dash, yeah, need for speed
Layin’ on yo’ ass, I’m in yo’ grass, you gon’ need to retreat
Sniper Gang, you think I’m playin’ all them games, you gon’ need retreat
I love you, we can’t get too deep
I skeet before I go to sleep
We can’t lay up in the sheets
Skeet, go back to the streets
Go back to the streets, you don’t belong to me
Yo’ heart in the streets, it don’t belong to me
Let yo’ soul bleed, pour it on the beat
Yo’ heart in the streets, ya soul belong to me
[Chorus: Khalid]
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be all night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day
Put it in drive, I’ll be outside
I be on the way
I be on the way
You can meet me in five
I’ll be all night
I’ll be all day
I’ll be all day

Joey Bada$$ – 80 Blocks Lyrics

But, like if I do them, like in the past, I don’t go around bragging ‘I done this, I done that,’ to myself so nobody knows about it. ‘Uhh Joey, look these guys are doin’ somethin’ they have no reason to be doin’, I mean, what’s goin’ on here?’
Joey, he’d go out there and talk to ’em and they’ll listen, suddenly Joe will go crazy, you know?”
[Verse 1: Joey Bada$$]
Hold up
What’s life like now? Uhh, but he’s the type of guy you can go to and talk to, you know? I really don’t want to do them again. And when nobody knows, word don’t get out and you don’t get busted.” Shots of the expresso
Gettin’ star bucks been the basic manifesto
I’m up early mornin’, breakin’ fast through the thresholds (uh-huh)
They tell I’ma wear myself out, but that’s the dress code (swag)
Unlock the swag and nigga let’s go
We securin’ bags, you niggas insecure and mad
One hundred thirty on the dash, that’s if my nigga Lex drove
Keep the heat, the stash, if you got
Usually we positive, just tryna stay blessed though
I’d rather to be safe, never know what to expect yo
In the streets, we livin’ in, niggas invidious, serious
And ’cause of this, inside of me, kept hidden, it’s hideous (uh)
And that’s ugly truth, I’m speakin’ from my troubled youth
To whom I try to give a mental boost when I’m in the booth
Been through the struggle, made it out, I’m the livin’ proof
I took the pain like I pull it from my wisdom tooth (nigga)
[Interlude]
“We’re still surviving, you know we took our bruises and we came out. We survived, we here, we got this, which I think is out of sight”
[Verse 2: Chuck Strangers]
First me and Robi break up
Now every day I wake up, with more bullshit as I arrive to the pulpit
Pro Era apostle (preach), nigga droppin’ gospels
Chucky be a reverend, Psalm 47
God is the king of all on earth
But after him know that the Era is first (know that)
Know it’s all about knowin’ your worth
Thank Christ for savin’ my life today
Know I have the right of way
I’m blessed to see a brighter day (blessed)
Keep me away from ruthless
You can teach a man a lesson, but don’t make him feel stupid
Put me on, don’t put me down, my g
We all out here just tryna be
Fine lines between egos and insecurities
You ain’t less of a man if you don’t squeeze (if you don’t squeeze, don’t squeeze)
You not necessarily a man if you do
Chalk it up to human nature, ’cause it’s just what men do (it’s just what men do)
Self-destruct with no fucks, all of to give up
I’m Chuck, Strangers
[Outro]
“And like I see a whole new future opening up for me and like I really don’t want to do all the things I’ve done over the years before. [Intro]
“I mean the reason they call him ‘Crazy Joe’ he goes off once in a while.

Son Lux – Labor Lyrics

[Refrain 1]
Come to life, my hungry arms are begging you
But what more can you do? [Chorus]
Labor reveal
Before our eyes, into our ears
Unfurl with light
The stars around us disappear
Just what is torn
What comes alive inside of us
[Chorus]
Labor reveal
Before our eyes, into our ears
Unfurl with light
The stars around us disappear
Just what is torn
What comes to life inside of us
[Refrain 2]
Come to, come to, come to life, come to [Verse]
I will break with you
For your body to be freed
Not pleased
Take the weight of you
For your gravity to be erased
Just a phantom muse
What was the form, the flesh, the feet, the face?

Tory Lanez – March 2nd Lyrics

In a Bentley smokin’ on a fat 20, jealous niggas don’t offend me, Dior dripped in the Fendi
I do it for the family OGs that never sent me on mission when I was down to put clip in and leave it empty and work
I ain’t trippin’ ’bout who got at me and dissed
I’m blessed, when I think about who shot at me and missed
I came from real situations
Niggas got clapped for little insinuations, time and impatience
Been grindin’, finding my way in so much bros like the Wayans
Sometime it weigh me down whenever they try weigh in
In the day out, in the day in, shooters on say when
Niggas got clapped before the day end
The city I come from, taught me that there’s nothing to run from
It taught me get my money in lump sums
So ’til that day, still at war, I’m still at pay
Never change boy, we still that way
It’s young Fargo [Verse]
Second cycle, the kid is movin’ like Billy Idol
With some past due W’s that I’m still entitled
City love me I treat it like it’s a bridal
Tux black as the strap I’m using to hit the rival
Last album was great, but I know this one is greater
I made it this far as a great tastemaker without a spread from Complex and them covers that come in from FADER
I’m at tables with mans you love it
Fuck it, I made it from buckets
Slept in the rugged seats of a Civic
To walking in the city and niggas screaming I did it
I spit this shit from way back for ’em
This for niggas that told me, “I’ll come back” but never came back for ’em
Loyal to them so I wait back for ’em like they my niggas
Knowin’ they isn’t, these niggas so insufficient
When we was both dealing, I used to throw in the pigeon
I guess, that mean nothing when niggas start coexisting
I done lost some good girls and niggas that I would cope with
Been backstabbed by niggas I used to smoke with
As far as rap I’m not the one to toe-to-toe with or go at it blow for blow with the silly shit no for no with
Money on the line, its money all on my mind
Calculating this vision, I sum it up for the grind
I promise when I got it I’d fuck it up for the times
Put 20k on the tab and buss it up every time, you get me?

Julia Michaels – Are You Lyrics

Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you openin’ doors to your feelings? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? [Bridge]
Now I wanna try somethin’
My subconscious goes
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah (haha, yeah)
And yours goes
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah (I like that)
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah (all together) (okay)
Ooh! Are you? [Chorus]
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you openin’ doors to your feelings? Are you? Are you? Ooh, it’s gettin’ so hot in here, ooh
I keep makin’ it crystal clear, ooh
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? [Verse 2]
I’ll lasso you into my dimension
You’ll pull me into your universe
Let’s see who can handle all the tension
Who’s getting it first? Mmm…
[Pre-Chorus]
Up and down in your direction
I keep lookin’
Up and down in your direction
And I feel you watchin’ too
[Chorus]
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you? [Verse 1]
Hold onto my heartbeat like you mean it
‘Cause there’s something too real to let it slide
If you gotta go, we can achieve it
You better believe it, so do I
I don’t need your words to get me goin’
Let your body language set the tone
Save all your emotions for the motion
Don’t make me go at this alone
[Pre-Chorus]
Up and down in your direction
I keep lookin’
Up and down in your direction
And I feel you watchin’ too
[Chorus]
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? Are you? Are you? Are you? Ooh, it’s gettin’ so hot in here, ooh (gettin’ so hot)
I keep makin’ it crystal clear, ooh (keep makin’ it)
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? Ooh, it’s gettin’ so hot in here, ooh
I keep makin’ it crystal clear, ooh
Are you thinkin’ the same thing I’m thinkin’? Are you openin’ doors to your feelings? Are you? Are you? Are you?

Skizzy Mars – American Dream Lyrics

Six figures, five shows, big ballin’
Look, I’m very important
I took a break, had some things I had to get sorted
I might retire in my prime like I’m M. [Chorus]
They gon’ let me in this club in these dirty vans
Clean money, I count stacks with these dirty hands
Do a show, copped a rack with my new advance
50 bands, 80, bands, 100 bands
I’m the American dream
We the American dream
New money, no class
Look at them
[Verse 1]
Look at them
Uh
How to make it in America
Real nigga, day one, ain’t a lot of us
Mom worked two jobs, it was hard for us
Me and sis made it out, now she proud of us
They ain’t teach me how to rap in those private schools
Wasn’t like my rich friends, had a lot to lose
Less money, less options, lot of rules
So when that first deal came it was opportune
And shawty got potential, I scout that
She say she in love, but I doubt that
Maybe it’s the drugs or the clout
I get love in the north, I get love in the south, yeah
Shawty claim she a feminist and her ex man feminine
God damn girl you know that he average
God damn girl you know I’m a savage
[Chorus]
They gon’ let me in this club in these dirty vans
Clean money, I count stacks with these dirty hands
Do a show, copped a rack with my new advance
50 bands, 80, bands, 100 bands
I’m the American dream
We the American dream
New money, no class
Look at them
[Verse 2]
New money
Now I’m in the Benz truck with a new honey
Yeah, they said I wouldn’t make it
I’m like, “You funny”
Laughing at my haters like, “You dummies”
The night is young, girl what can you do for me? Jordan
Table dancing in South Hampton
Use the wine glasses for dirty fantas
We coolin’ out in the whip and I done damn near smashed every girl on my list
KD at the three, Djokovic with the racket
Phelps in the pool, I’m like Speith at the masters
God damn girl you know you a bad bitch
God damn girl you know I’m a savage
[Chorus]
They gon’ let me in this club in these dirty vans
Clean money, I count stacks with these dirty hands
Do a show, copped a rack with my new advance
50 bands, 80, bands, 100 bands
I’m the American dream
We the American dream
New money, no class
Look at them
[Bridge]
Another day in the U.S.A
Just another day in America
Kids from my hood look up to the drug dealers
The system set us up for failure
I just wanna make enough to pay dividends
Then invest in black businesses
They teach us to hate what we see in the mirror
But it can’t break our spirit
[Chorus]
They gon’ let me in this club in these dirty vans
Clean money, I count stacks with these dirty hands
Do a show, copped a rack with my new advance
50 bands, 80, bands, 100 bands
I’m the American dream
We the American dream
New money, no class
Look at them

MGMT – One Thing Left to Try Lyrics

(Fun is over tonight)
Do you want to feel alive? Do you want to feel alive? Do you want to feel alive? Wishing I’d done something
More than what’s required
To last until the sunset
No, I don’t wanna die
Thinking that I’m dreaming
There’s one thing left to try
If you want to change your life
Today I left those thoughts behind, behind
Over and over, you die just to feel alive
The only way to get rid of the feeling
You have to draw the line
And remember there’s more than you’re seeing
Decide
Do you want to keep us alive? (Fun is over tonight)
(There’s one thing left to try)
(There’s one thing left to try) (Fun is over tonight)
Do you want to feel alive? (Fun is over tonight)
Do you want to keep us alive? (Fun is over tonight)
Do you want to keep us alive? Do you want to keep us alive? One thing left to try
See if you can make it
Before you choose the night
And the silence overtakes you
If you looked into the fire
And you had that conversation
Then there’s one thing left to try
If you want to save your life
Fear is his name but his friends still call him God
Again and again the thought remains
(The only way to get rid of the feeling)
I don’t wanna die!

MGMT – James Lyrics

[Verse 1]
James
If you heed the call
And you go outside, and wander off
Then home is there
Wherever you will make it
You can always say, “Who’s laughing now?”
[Verse 2]
James
If you need a friend
Come right over
Don’t even knock
And I’ll be home
The door is always open
And we both can say, “Who’s laughing now?”
[Chorus]
Oh James
My little doll
You just go outside and you call
Oh James
Oh you’re never too far off
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus]
Oh James
My little doll
You just go outside and you call
Oh James
No, you’re never too far off
[Verse 3]
If your fire’s out
There’s no need to shout
I’m always home
And walk on in
I’ll make you tea and breakfast
And we both can say, “Who’s laughing now?”
[Outro]
Oh James
Oh James
Oh James
No, you’re never too far off (James)
No, you’re never too far off

Q-Tip – Want U 2 Want Lyrics

[Intro: Kendrick Lamar]
[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar]
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein

I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
[Bridge: Kendrick Lamar]
Hey, ho, hey, want me
Hey, ho, hey, want me
Hey, ho, hey, oh, oh
[Verse 1: Kendrick Lamar]
I wanna see you fall through, quick, fast, without having to call you
Quick fast I know just what they all do
But you can do it better and it’s all cool
Never seen a stop singe or a stop light
I wanna see what living on the top like
You wanna see what living on the top like
Then chattel me and take me on a joy-ride
Look both ways wherever there I go
In case I run into you I drive slow
I know your sex-drive go all day
Then we can roll [?] ’till tomorrow
Lights out for the insecure, self-centered
I know your heart won’t be the same when I
Dive in head first I don’t mind if I drone
In other words, girl I need you right now
I said:
[Chorus: Kendrick Lamar]
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
[Bridge 2: ?]
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
[Bridge 3:Q-Tip]
She needs me, uh, I need her, uh
Downtown, uh, me first, uh, me first, uh me first
She needs me, uh, I need her, uh
[Verse 2: Kendrick Lamar]
I wanna pick your brain too
I wanna get the brain too
Tell the truth I might even stand in the rain (I might even stand in the rain)
Just to make you rain too
See your last one didn’t recognize your worth (Uh-huh)
All good I let him go first
All good I let you go first
I come right after then second round occur
[Shortened Chorus: Kendrick Lamar]
The love of your name can only pertain to the flame I got in my vein
I never complain when your name is mentioned
I can’t hold back or restrain, it’s the flame I got in my vein
I never complain, I just want you to want me
Want you to want me
[Bridge 2: ?]
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
Just like I want you
